GitHub is certainly not a new player and arguably the de facto platform for source control. Since Microsoft's acquisition in 2018, I've been incredibly impressed in its ability to refine and become a DevOps platform and full deployment ecosystem like GitLab. This is particularly interesting to me in context of Azure DevOps.

While I don't live in the platform day in and day out, it absolutely wins in terms of navigation and usability from a developer's perspective. It's increasingly mature as an a DevOps engineer's choice, too.

I fully expect to see more and more people making the decision to live in both and not solely ADO. Some teams, and maybe even organizations, might eventually even decide to live within GitHub only.
